SPCA Rescue Animals From NS Puppy Mill

The Nova Scotia SPCA says it has seized 35 dogs and puppies from a puppy mill near Wolfville.

SPCA officers, accompanied by RCMP, executed the warrant on Tuesday following a lengthy investigation.

All animals have been removed from the property and are currently at specialized SPCA intake facilities for medical treatment and shelter.

The SPCA says its been working the case since September 2019, following a report of mistreatment made by visitors to the puppy mill.

The organization says its one of the largest puppy mill seizures in the history of the Nova Scotia SPCA.

Charges are pending.
