A man was seriously hurt in a fire on Millview Drive In Lakeville.
Moncton Fire Platoon Chief Brian McDonald says an explosion in a garage was reported at around 7 pm Saturday.
When firefighters arrived, they found the garage engulfed in flames and the fire spreading to the home.
The man was treated at the scene for serious burns and then transported to hospital.
There’s no word on his condition.
The garage was destroyed, along with one vehicle inside.
There is also damage to the home and a second vehicle parked in the driveway.
Four Moncton Fire stations attended the scene, and Dieppe Fire assisted with a tanker for water.
RCMP and the Fire Marshal are investigating.
