Jehovah’s Witness convention returns to Moncton

Over 3,400 people are gathered in Moncton this weekend for an annual convention.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses are meeting at the Avenir Centre Friday through Sunday.

Regional Spokesperson Simon Roberts says this event is a highlight for thousands of Maritimers.

“We are excited to have the Jehovah’s Witness convention back in Moncton again this year,” said Jillian Somers, CEO of Destination Moncton Dieppe. “Event hosting like this is important to the visitor economy.”

More than 50 conventions are being held in 23 host cities in Canada, including Moncton.
