It’s the perfect day for thinking of others.
It is Giving Tuesday.
It takes place each year after Black Friday, and charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for their favourite causes.
The Friends of the Moncton Hospital is hoping you’ll choose The Rebecca Schofield Fund.
Anne Schofield says this helps all cancer patients, “People that are going through cancer treatments, and families that are going through cancer treatments. It is to help with the small expenses. There was already a fund at the hospital helping women going through breast cancer, but there was nothing for other cancers. Cancer doesn’t discriminate, and neither does the Becca fund.”
Becca inspired people around the world to be kind to each other, before she lost her battle with brain cancer in 2018.
“It was important to us to encourage people. Rebecca had money that she called her smile money and it was used to help make people smile. We are encouraging people ton use a little bit of their smile money to help make a cancer patients smile, “Schofield says.
