Stephen M. Gouzoules named Riverview’s Deputy Mayor

The Town of Riverview has a new Deputy Mayor.

Councillor-at-Large Stephen Gouzoules received the majority support of Riverview Town Council on Tuesday night.

“I understand the time commitment and the scope of the job. Presently and for the foreseeable future, I certainly have the availability to fully commit myself to the role. I have been on council for a little over seven months now and have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to represent the Town of Riverview,” Gouzoules says.

This is his first term on the Town Council and his first time as Deputy Mayor.

He will serve in the role until May of 2025.

Councillor Heath Johnson nominated Gouzoules for the position.

Councillor Sarah Murphy held the position for the past year.
