The Green Party ended up in third spot at the polls in Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe.
Candidate Claire Kelly says they worked very hard the past four months, and she isn’t going to dwell on the what ifs, “It has been all positive. Honestly, I am so proud of my campaign, of our teams work. It has been a group effort the entire way along.”
She says she wouldn’t have changed a thing, except the outcome of course,”I think we really put everything on the table. We worked so hard the past four months. I am really proud of us.”
Kelly may not have won with voters of the legal age, but she was victorious amongst elementary and high school students.
Over 1.1 million students across the country voted as a part of CIVIX Student Votes 2019.
Results were released as the polls closed on election night at 8:30pm. Results in the riding of Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe showed the Green Party with a win, based on over 6500 hundred votes by students in Elementary, Middle and High schools.
