Advance Polling For Federal Election Begins October 11th

Voters will have the opportunity to cast a ballot prior to the October 21st federal general election.

Elections Canada spokesperson Francoise Enguehard says advance polling stations will be open from October 11th to the 14th.

“You will vote at your assigned polling station and the hours are much longer to make it easier for everyone to get there. It is from 9am to 9pm. You have four full days to vote for the advanced poll,” Enguehard says.

You can find your designated polling station on the back of your voter information card, but be sure to bring proof of your identity and address, “You can bring your voter information card as you go to vote. That card will serve as one piece of ID. To vote, you need to prove your identity and prove where you live. That helps determine where you vote,” Enguehard says.

At the last federal election, more electors than ever voted early at advance polls.
