Cast Of Rocky Horror Show Ready For Rehearsals

Rehearsals for the Rocky Horror Show will kick into high gear later this week.

Director Marshall Button expects big crowds for the musical that will be performed in the Empress Theatre, “I think it is going to be a fabulous event. The fact that we can run it for a full two weeks, and maybe even a third one in our smaller space will create some excitement over a longer period of time.”

Button says some of the cast are performers the audience may recognize from other shows, but most are brand new to the Capitol Theatre stage.

“One of the things about the show and the casting is because of the longer run, we have understudies and with two shows on Saturday if someone comes to see the show twice, they’ll get to see different actors in different roles throughout the run,” Button says.

The first show will be performed on Halloween night.

“We’re kind of meeting once a week until the main rehearsals begin on October 11th. We are getting the ball rolling and our music director is banging away on the piano and people are singing and sounding great so far,” Button adds.
