Cyclist seriously hurt in hit-and-run in Fredericton

Information is needed after a hit-and-run in Fredericton involving a cyclist and a car.

Police say a man was struck at the Brookside Drive and Ring Road roundabout at around 9:40 pm on Sunday.

The driver left the scene following the crash.

Police say the significantly damaged vehicle headed towards the Two Nations Crossing roundabout.

The cyclist suffered serious injuries.

Police are asking for the driver or members of the public to come forward. Witnesses or anyone with video footage of the accident can contact the Fredericton Police Force at 506-460-2300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous.
