Three Women Killed In Crash Near Bathurst

Three people from Lameque are dead after a crash between a minivan and a tractor trailer.

RCMP say the minivan attempted a U-turn last night on Highway 11 near Bathurst, and collided with a tractor trailer.

Three women, ages 64, 75 and 88, who were passengers in the van, died at the scene.

The driver and another passenger were taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The driver of the transport truck wasn’t hurt.

Highway 11 was closed for several hours while RCMP investigated.
