It has been feeling more like fall than late summer lately in Southern New Brunswick… but what does the upcoming season really look like?
The Weather Network has unveiled its fall forecast for the region.
Meteorologist Michael Carter says warm water around the Maritimes will play a role in the upcoming season.
“It impacts on both our temperatures – kinda leading to temperatures a little bit above normal through the fall season – as well as our precipitation” he notes.
Following the recent wrath from Dorian, he says we will likely see more tropical systems impacting our weather especially in terms of rainfall before the hurricane season ends in November.
Carter believes the coldest air of the season will stay over Hudson Bay and northern Ontario and northern Quebec.
But he adds there could be a few cold shots as we head into November which could bring some snow.
Autumn officially begins on Monday at 4:50am ADT.
