The zoo’s popular Breakfast With The Tigers event is back with a number of dates throughout September and October.
Zoo spokesperson Cathy Simon says its an educational breakfast about tigers and how they are an endangered species.
“We’ll take the participants to the tiger exhibit to meet the zookeepers who care for these animals on a daily basis. The keepers will take behind the scenes, right into the tiger building,”
She says participants won’t be able to touch the animals but will be very close.
The events are meant to inspire those who attend to want to help protect them.
Simon says there are a few ways to help tigers in the wild by protecting their habitat, including reducing the use of paper.
