Cyclists to race in Salisbury

There will be a lot of spinning wheels in the Town of Salisbury this weekend.

Around 60 cyclists will participate in the Salisbury Road Race between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday.

The town hosts the race in partnership with Velo NB, and cyclists are coming from across New Brunswick.

The race will begin at the Salisbury Guardian Pharmacy (3154 Main Street, Salisbury), travel along Route 106 (Main Street) to Homestead Road, and along Homestead Road to Sanatorium Road.

Cyclists will then travel along Sanatorium Road to reach Salisbury Back Road, where they will complete one, or a series of, loop(s) (depending on their classification) along NB Route 895, Bannister Road, and Grub Road.

There will be no road closures, but motorists are advised to use caution with increased bicycle traffic.
