Moncton Boys And Girls Club Part Of Programs To Welcome Newcomers

The department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada has selected over 800 projects to deliver services to newcomers across the country.

The Boys and Girls Club of Moncton is part of one of those projects that aims at connecting newcomers between the ages of 13 and 18 with local youths.

The initiative aims at forming bonds through a variety of activities including mentorship, career development and volunteerism.

Other partners involved in this project include all levels of government, Atlantic Superstore, RBC, and Medavie Blue Cross.

The program offers newcomers information about life in Canada and the community in which they will settle.

It also includes language training, help finding a job, and connections with established immigrants.
