Advisory Issued For Water Discolouration In Greater Moncton

If you’ve noticed your water is discoloured recently, not to worry.

An advisory has been issued for Moncton, Dieppe and Riverview.

The discolouration is due to a higher than normal water consumption, due to warm temperatures.

It is caused by a manganese build-up on large transmission lines which is being dislodged by the higher flows.

The release also says it is not associated with health effects.

If you are experiencing this, it is suggested you refrain from washing white clothes, because they could become discoloured.
