Festival Inspire Brings Colour To Greater Moncton

The city explodes with colour this week thanks to the Festival Inspire

It’s the 5th edition of the week-long art festival that features live entertainment and mural paintings.

A number of artists, both local and international are working on murals, installations and shows.

The idea behind the event was to improve the aesthetic of the city while also promoting local artists

There is also a number of artists from all over Atlantic Canada and internationally who’ve chosen Moncton as a place to display their work.

Lisa Griffin, director of Festival Inspire says they decided to open up experience to residents.

There is a variety of free activities that residents can take part in such as the popular disco bike ride.

The fun continues even after the ride with a silent disco for all to attend.

Griffin says there will be a number of free workshops as part of the University of Inspire.

Classes include, DJ-ing mosaic tiling, beat-boxing and other visual arts.

The idea behind the event was to improve the aesthetic of the city while also promoting local artists.
