Monctonians will get to take a peek at some of the world’s most unique cars over the weekend.
The Atlantic Nationals Automotive Extravaganza features cruises, car shows, Celebrity how-to sessions and more.
For five days, Moncton will be turned into a Canadian hot rod & classic car paradise.
Cars will line Main street on Friday night where residents and visitors will have a chance to get a closer look.
However, event chairman, Bill Doherty says the real show is at Centennial Park.
“If you haven’t been to the park on Saturday and Sunday, you’re missing the show because downtown you’ll bee about 300 cars but at Centennial Park you’ll see two thousand, plus!” Doherty says.
He says they are expecting to welcome about 2000 cars from all over the world.
“It’s truly become an international destination event and of course people who are coming from England, Belgium or even Texas are going to be spending a couple weeks or a month in Atlantic Canada so it’s really good for the tourism side of things,” he says.
The non-profit event runs from Wednesday to Sunday and raises money to help the community in a variety of ways.
