RCMP quickly got involved after a concerning Instagram post about Riverview Middle School.
Staff Sergeant Jonathan White told Riverview Town Council during a Committee of the Whole meeting this week, that they received complaints last Thursday about the post that reportedly contained threats.
White says it referenced shooting up the school and featured photos of several firearms.
Police spoke to school staff and a youth. The youth denied any involvement.
A letter from the Anglophone East School District Superintendent Randolph MacLEAN was sent to parents and students after the incident last week.
