Escaped inmate back behind bars

A search for an escaped inmate from Dorchester Penitentiary over the weekend ended quickly.

Correctional Service Canada was alerted at around 8:30 pm on Saturday that Jermaine Brown was not accounted for in the minimum-security unit.

RCMP were contacted and a warrant was issued.

Brown was arrested 90 minutes later.

CSC says an investigation is underway.

No further details have been released.
