Moncton Firefighters are out helping with flood relief efforts.
They’ve been sending out teams of two water technicians to the Oromocto area every day for over a week now.
Platoon Chief Robert Brine says they are offering assistance as directed by the EMO.
They have been helping with things like rescues, evacuations and medical calls.
He says they will likely continue to offer their assistance as needed until flooding subsidies.
The Dieppe Fire department also has members of their team in the flood zone.
District Chief Marc Cormier tells us they have had two members there with their rescue boat since April 25th, assisting with evacuations and verifications of homes. A third has been assigned to the Emergency Operations Centre.
