Order Of Canada Recipients To Be Recognized

A Moncton man will receive the Order of Canada this morning.

Georges Henri Goguen is a pioneer of modern art in Acadia with his works exhibited in several public and private collections. He also founded a gallery that features the works of Maritime artists.

Governor General Julie Payette will invest one Companion, two Officers and 37 Members into the Order, during a ceremony at Rideau Hall.

The Order of Canada is one of the the country’s highest civilian honours.

Several other New Brunswickers will also be named.
