New Brunswicker Identified As Plane Crash Victim

It has now been confirmed that one of the 18 Canadians killed in a place crash yesterday, was from New Brunswick.

Premier Blaine Higgs released a statement on social media today to say he is saddened to learn of the passing of Peter DeMarsh from Taymouth, which is near Fredericton.

He adds that DeMarsh will be fondly remembered for his work with the Taymouth Community Association and the International Family Forestry Alliance.

The Boeing 737-8 went down after losing contact with the control tower while on route to Nairobi.

The 157 people onboard were killed.

Ethiopian Airlines announced this morning that they have recovered the Digital Flight Data Recorder and Cockpit Voice Recorder from the plane.

The 737-8 MAX planes have been grounded as a precaution.
