A 27-year-old Moncton man has been charged with numerous offences in connection with a sexual assault complaint of someone under 16.
Codiac RCMP began investigating after receiving a complaint on February 24th about an assault which is alleged to have taken place between September 2016 and January 2018.
Mounties carried out a search warrant at a Moncton home last Thursday (February 28) where a man was arrested and taken into custody.
Dillon Turpin faces the following charges:
- Sexual assault
- Sexual interference
- Invitation to sexual touching
- Uttering threats (2 counts)
- Unlawful confinement
- Possession of child pornography
- Making child pornography
- Making available sexually explicit material to a person under the age of 16
There is a court-imposed publication ban on any information that could identify the victim.
Turpin is being held in custody and will return to court on Wednesday (March 6) for a bail hearing.
