Seventh Annual Tree Planting Program Underway

Dieppe’s tree planting program is back for a seventh year.

It offers trees to residents, who do not have trees in front of their homes, for a reduced cost.

Interested residents need to apply by March 31st.

Eligibility requirements:

-One tree only per residence.

-There can be no existing trees on the land in front of the home.

-There must be sufficient space to plant the tree and to ensure it has enough space to grow.

-A $50 fee, plus applicable taxes, must be paid by the homeowner, which corresponds to less than 30% of the cost to purchase the tree.

-The tree must only be planted on the land located in front of the house.

Since the program launched, more than 400 trees have been planted throughout the municipality.
