A Grande-Anse man is going to jail for two and a half years after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.
In addition to his jail time, 28-year old Richard Dorion will be added to the National Sex Offender Registry for life, and be required to submit a DNA sample.
He is also under strict conditions to not be around children for the next 14 years, and the devices used to commit the offences are also forfeit.
The charges stemmed from an investigation by the New Brunswick RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit, resulting in members with a warrant searching his home in Grand-Anse in September 2017.
