Moncton Airport Moves To Be More Energy Efficient

Last year, the Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport spent a portion of 2018 trying to reduce their carbon footprint.

President Bernard LeBlanc says they replaced the lighting in the terminal building to LED, and have already seen the benefits.

“And we were just looking at our costs for the month of December, after that conversion and we’re saving about 25 per cent of our energy costs by doing that, so that’s all things that if we can be more efficient, less cost of operating, we can be a bit more competitive that way.”

LeBlanc says they also automated the parking system, and added 52 parking spaces to their parking lot in 2018.
