Dalhousie Woman Charged With Fraud Relating To School Finances

A 47-year old woman from Dalhousie, New Brunswick is facing a charge of fraud over five thousand dollars.

This week, the charge against Chantal Berthelotte was brought after an investigation started in 2014 by Campbellton RCMP after the Francophone Northeast School District reported financial irregularities.

Those financial concerns were raised about one school in particular, the Ecole Aux-Quatre-Vents in Dalhousie.

On May 9th, 2016, police arrested a 44-year old woman in the investigation – the woman was the principal at the time.

Berthelotte is scheduled to appear in Campbellton Court January 28th to enter a plea.
