A 25-year-old Nova Scotia woman is facing numerous charges following an incident in Dieppe where she allegedly fired an Airsoft gun and threatened to kill first responders.
During the afternoon of January 5th, Codiac RCMP say firefighters and paramedics were the first to arrive on scene of a single-vehicle crash on Adelard-Savoie Boulevard in Dieppe.
Mounties continued to get threats from the driver when they arrived on scene and an RCMP officer discharged their firearm.
The woman was injured and taken to hospital for treatment but no one else was hurt.
Morgan Maryanne Connors of Dartmouth faces a long list of charges as follows:
- Pointing a firearm (Airsoft gun) – two counts
- Using a firearm (Airsoft gun) while committing the offence of uttering threats to kill
- Uttering threats to kill – two counts
- Discharging an air gun with intent
- Discharging a firearm with intent
- Discharging a firearm (Airsoft gun) while being reckless to the life or safety of another person
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon (brass knuckles)
- Possession of a prohibited weapon (brass knuckles) in a motor vehicle
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
- Possession of cannabis for the purpose of distribution
Connors is being held in custody and will return to Moncton provincial court on January 18th for a bail hearing.
