Heavy Snow Closes Schools Across Region

The winter break was short lived.

Schools are now closed for the day in Anglophone East and in Francophone South in Southeast New Brunswick.

First thing this morning, the districts were delaying buses by one hour, but conditions got progressively worse. Districts changed their decision, and closed schools instead.

Schools in Anglophone North are closed as well.

An additional 15 centimetres of snow is expected to fall today.

Several flights out of the Greater Moncton Romeo Leblanc International Airport are cancelled this morning due to conditions.

Motorists are reporting treacherous conditions on roadways…in some areas, with whiteout conditions.

You can find a full list of delays due to the storm, on our Trinity Collision Centre storm watch.

Temperatures are expected to rise above zero for this afternoon and the snow will change to rain.
