Cannabis producer Organigram has been in perpetual expansion mode in the Moncton Industrial Park over the last several years.
Originally a national medical marijuana producer, the company now also supplies recreational marijuana to nine provinces.
Chief commercial officer Ray Gracewood says the company plans to triple the size of its facility in 2019.
“Right now, we are fully realized for 36,000 kilograms of production and we are closing in on the next phase of expansion which is set to be complete in spring 2019.”
Gracewood says two further expansions will increase production to 113,000 kilograms of production per year by the end of 2019.
The company currently has more than 400 employees and continues to hire at a rapid pace often through job fairs.
