Santa Claus Pays Pre-Christmas Visit To Salisbury

You may have caught a glimpse this week in Salisbury, of a jolly old man, in a red suit.

The man himself, made a stop in the community this week, to enjoy the freshly fallen snow.

Owner of Stoakley’s Professional Dog boarding Centre Doug Stoakley, says on Tuesday, a jolly old man, with a big white beard, came into the kennel.

It turns out, it was Santa Claus, dressed in regular clothes, so he wouldn’t draw attention to himself.

“He came in and mentioned something from my childhood, and how I wanted Rock Em, Sock Em Robots for Christmas. I thought that was a little weird But then I figured out it was Santa Claus! He was in town and he wanted to borrow a few dogs and go for a little tour in Salisbury and spread some Christmas spirit,” Stoakley says.

Onlookers came out to greet Santa as he made his way by, “It was pretty crazy. All of the little kids coming out of their homes and shouting Santa’s name. It was really fun,” Stoakley added.

He says the visit really left behind some Christmas cheer, and he is grateful for the pre-Christmas gift Santa left behind for his team. He gave them all new harnesses and coats for his 25 dogs.

Santa Claus thanked Stoakley and said, if there is snow on the ground again in New Brunswick next year, he’ll be sure to make another pre-Christmas visit.
