Extra Day To Get Over The Top For The Turkey Drive

For the first time ever, the Sue Stultz and Moncton Firefighters Turkey Drive came up short of their goal.

The drive needs about 300 more birds to reach their goal of 4,132 turkeys for this year.

Coordinator Bruce Stultz says two factors involved in missing their target were losing a day last week to a snow storm, and they heard grocery stores were running low on turkeys.

To reach their goal this year, they have added an extra day – today – so turkeys will be accepted today from 10 until 2 down back at the fire station across from Centennial Park on St. George Boulevard.
