Man injured after struck at crosswalk

A 21-year-old man suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries after he was struck by an NB Power truck.

RCMP say he was crossing Mountain Road near Katherine Avenue on Wednesday night when he was hit.

Sergeant Marc Leger says he was using a marked crosswalk, and the lights were activated at the time.

Leger adds the driver has been ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
