Additional assistance was called in from five other departments but they weren’t able to save the structure.

Restaurant owners posted to social media yesterday thanking everyone who assisted.

Meantime, a statement from the Cap-Acadie Chamber of Commerce following the fire.

Board Chair Natalie Cormier says they are devastated by the word of another business in the region lost to fire.

President Anthony Azard adds their heart goes out to the whole team.

The statement also says Aboiteau Fisheries was home to one of the region’s leading restaurants during the tourist season. It offered fresh seafood, shellfish, and fish of all varieties.
