New Year’s Eve Family Fun Fest to feature fireworks

A full slate of activities is planned for downtown Moncton to help ring in New Year’s Eve.

Festivities get underway at 2 p.m. on Dec. 31 including music, ice skating, food, and spirits as well as a fireworks display at midnight to help welcome 2024.

You can also take in a Moncton Wildcats game as they battle the Charlottetown Islanders at the Avenir Centre.

The full list of festivities can be found here.

If you are heading downtown, take note. There are a few street closures as a result of New Year’s Eve Family Fun Fest. Main Street between Cameron Street and Bonaccord Street and Canada Street from the back of the Avenir Centre to Main Street will be closed from 7 a.m. on Dec. 31 to 2 a.m. on Jan. 1.

The Hyatt Hotel and Carrabba’s can be accessed by Canada Street via Vaughan Harvey.
