A 55‑year‑old man from Lincoln has been charged following an investigation into sexual offences in Oromocto.
RCMP said they began investigating on June 16 after receiving a report that the man had acted inappropriately with underage persons.
He was arrested on July 15 and later released on conditions, including not being in a private dwelling alone with anyone under 18 unless another adult was present.
The Crown laid charges in court on September 29, according to the RCMP.
The charges include invitation to sexual touching, indecent exposure, sexual exploitation of a young person, and providing liquor to a person under the age of 19.
Police said the man was released again under conditions and is scheduled to return to court on November 26.
RCMP said investigators believe there may be other victims.
“This is still an active investigation, and we are working diligently to understand if there were other victims,” said Cpl. Scott Morrison of the New Brunswick RCMP in the release.
He added that sexual assault is a serious crime and that complaints can be made at any time, regardless of when the incident occurred.
Police said the man had been employed as a civilian instructor with the 333 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron and also supported the 334 Squadron in Oromocto.
His employment ended in May 2025 as a result of the investigation.
RCMP are asking anyone with information to contact their local police. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1‑800‑222‑TIPS, the P3 Mobile App, or through Secure Web Tips.
