VIDEO: Remembrance Day 2023 in Greater Moncton

It was a cloudy and cold November 11th morning, but hundreds of all ages turned up at Sunny Brae Park in Moncton to remember.

A short parade of veterans, family and friends marched from the Sunny Brae Legion to the cenotaph as a part of Remembrance Day ceremonies.

During the hour-long service, over 30 wreaths and crosses were laid at the cenotaph to symbolize those who fought and died for our freedom in the First World War and Second World War, and for those who continue to fight.

The names of many others were also read aloud in honour.

Other Remembrance Day ceremonies were held in Greater Moncton at Victoria Park, at the Moncton Coliseum, in Riverview and in Dieppe.
