52-Year Old New Brunswick Man Drowns In PEI

A 52-year old New Brunswick man drowned this weekend in PEI near St. Margarets.

Around 5 Saturday afternoon, Kings District RCMP, helped by EMS, Souris Fire Department and local fishermen from the Naufrage Harbour were called about a man pulled out to sea by the current and wave conditions on the north shore of PEI.

The RCMP says the man could not be reached by extreme surf conditions and a strong undertow and he drowned.
