International Staff Hosting program launched through Vitalité Health Network

A new International Staff Hosting program will help provide newcomers who are working for Vitalité Health Network a place to live.

“In the face of a staff shortage, we doubled our efforts to recruit healthcare workers internationally. These efforts have been successful, so much so that the Network’s facilities will welcome hundreds of new international employees over the coming months and years,” explained Frédéric Finn, Vice President of Employee Experience at Vitalité Health Network. “However, the housing shortage is posing a challenge for the settlement and retention of newcomers.”

This new program will match international healthcare workers with accommodations in people’s homes.

The program makes hosting available for a period of up to three months, the time allotted to newcomers to find permanent accommodations.

Hosts will receive compensation between $400 and $700 per month.
