Half of Canadians plan on getting flu shot: survey

Only half of Canadians plan to get the flu shot this year, according to a survey from Narrative Research.

Out of more than 1,200 Canadians polled, 3 per cent say they have already been jabbed, while nearly 40 percent say they do not plan on it.

53 per cent say they are taking extra measures to make sure they boost their immune system by taking vitamins and supplements while 1/3 say they are focusing on a healthier diet.

According to the survey, those that live in the Prairies are more likely to get the shot, while those living in Quebec are least likely.

50 per cent say they believe the flu shot should be mandatory while 43 per cent are opposed.
