Information from public needed after armed robbery in Moncton

Help is needed for information in connection with an armed robbery in Moncton.

RCMP says at around 10:55 pm on September 17, a cab driver picked up a man at John Street and Vaughn Harvey Boulevard.

When they reached their destination at Lorne Street and Salter Avenue, the driver was threatened with a weapon, assaulted and the man fled with cash.

The man is described as around 5’10, weighs around 280 pounds and speaks with a heavy accent.

Anyone who recognizes the description of the individual, who may have witnessed or was in the area at the time of the incident, or who may have security camera or dash cam footage from this time period, or who may have information should contact Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.
