48 Hour Drinking Water Advisory Issued For Parts Of Riverview

A drinking water advisory is in effect for residences and businesses on Coverdale road between Ogden Drive and Cromwell Street.

City work crews have shut off water in the area to repair a water main break.

The drinking water advisory will be in effect for 48 hours once the water service is restored.

Riverview Communications Coordinator Meghan Walsh says residents should use either bottled water or boiled water.

That advice applies to any water used for drinking, making ice, preparing drinks and food including baby formula and brushing teeth.

Walsh says water samples will be tested after the repairs are complete, and when water is safe to drink again residents will be told by hand delivered letter.

Walsh apologizes for the inconvenience and says repairs should be completed by 6 tonight.
