There’s significant damage to a home and deck after a fire in Dieppe.
Platoon Chief Denis Roberge says the rear of the Champlain Street residence was engulfed when they arrived at around 2:30 am Monday morning.
The fire quickly moved into the attic of the home.
Roberge says the residents managed to escape safely.
He says some of the materials stored under the deck made it a more challenging fire.
Around 14 firefighters helped to battle the blaze.
There’s no word on a cause yet.
