Fatal collision during heavy rain in N.B.

A 57-year-old man has been killed in a crash during rainy conditions on the Homestead Road.

RCMP say a car crossed the centre line at around 5 pm on Wednesday night in Second North River and collided head-on with a pickup truck.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital, but the one in the pickup died of his injuries.

The other suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Members of the Salisbury Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick also attended the scene.

A member of the New Brunswick Coroner’s Office is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
