Drug trafficking investigation leads to Riverview man’s arrest

A 32-year-old Riverview man has been arrested in connection with drug trafficking.

RCMP began an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs last month.

A vehicle was stopped on Coverdale Road on July 20th.

Police seized quantities of what is believed to be crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl, crack cocaine, a number of weapons, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and money.

The man is scheduled to appear in court on November 28th.

Charges have not yet been laid.

This investigation was the result of a joint effort between the Codiac Regional RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit and the New Brunswick Integrated Enforcement Unit (IEU). The New Brunswick IEU is made up of members from the New Brunswick RCMP, as well as municipal police and Justice and Public Safety officers in the province. These efforts aim to improve the coordinated response to the growing concerns of drugs, firearms, and organized crime within New Brunswick.
