Free program encouraging kids to golf

A lot of kids under 16 will be yelling ‘fore’ this week.

Over 500 Canadian courses are offering free golf to youth, thanks to the National Golf Course Owners Association.

Youth must be with a paying adult when they’re on the green.

The Take a Kid to the Course program got underway on July 3rd and runs until July 9th.

“The Take A Kid To The Course program is a wonderful way for families to enjoy the game of golf together. It is now more important than ever to find ways to get kids outside in a safe and engaging setting,” says NGCOA Canada CEO, Jeff Calderwood.

An interactive map of participating courses is available at www.kidsgolffree.ca.

To book your tee time, you should contact participating courses directly.
