Man dies in Dieppe shooting

A 26-year-old man is dead after a shooting in Dieppe.

RCMP Corporal Stephane Esculier says at around 10 pm Sunday night, a man with gunshot wounds was found at a Louis Street home.

He was rushed to hospital where he later died.

“We believe it is an isolated and targeted incident, that has now been ruled as a homicide. We don’t believe there is any risk to the public at this point,” Esculier says.

There have been no arrests yet, but RCMP is appealing to the public to report any information they may have on the incident.

The Major Crime Unit is investigating.
