A new training facility will be set up at CFB Gagetown for the identification and safe disposal of improvised explosive devices.
Defense Minister Harjit Sajjan who served in Afghanistan announced 38 million dollars in federal funding.
It was determined the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering at Gagetown currently lacks sufficient space to conduct critical training. The new funding also includes upgrades to roads for field exercises.
