Second woman dies after Coverdale Road crash

Codiac RCMP says a second woman has now died following a three-vehicle crash on Coverdale Road in Riverview on April 20th.

A 67-year-old woman from Moncton who was driving one of the vehicles died in hospital on Saturday, April 22, as a result of injuries.

A 70-year-old Moncton woman who was a passenger in the same vehicle was also killed. She was rushed to hospital, where she passed away on the day of the crash.

RCMP says the collision is believed to have occurred when an eastbound vehicle, crossed the centre line and collided head-on with a second vehicle. An SUV then hit the second vehicle from behind. The passengers of the others were transported to the hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
