With the giving season winding down, the 30 Days of Community Caring Campaign totals are in and it was a great success.
That’s according to the President of Food Depot Alimentaire Dale Hicks.
He says some people were a little worried goals might not be met towards the end of the campaign, especially with the Food Box program, but it all came through in the end thanks to very caring community.
He says, “I’ve never seen so much food as there is in the warehouse right now, and that will be very useful for the coming months.”
Overall, counting all donations both food and money the campaign raised approximately $370, 000, including almost 40, 000 pounds of food, and more than 4500 turkeys.
